The Huntress

Doctor Diana Garry is a bright and successful Archaeologist at Bath Sulis University's Department of Antiquities. A specialist in Celtic, Phoenician and Roman artefacts she is lead Archaeologist on a dig at a possible Roman Temple site in the grounds of a French chateau in the Loire valley.

Diane de Poitiers was a French noblewoman and a prominent courtier during the Renaissance. She gained notoriety as King Henry II's chief mistress and in this role she wielded much influence and power at the French Court, until Henry was mortally wounded in a tournament accident. Henry had worn her colours rather than those of his wife.

The chateau of Chenonceau was once owned by Diane and it is within the garden bearing her name that Diana Garry is digging.

Now fate threatens to bring their stories together and challenge Diana's views on death, love and rebirth...
